E-Learning Course Description: Why Sport Psychology?

Why Sport Psychology?

"What you have to do and the way you have to do it is incredibly simple. Whether you are willing to do it, that's another matter."

Flow in Sports is pleased to offer a free e-learning course introducing the subject of sport psychology and its benefits. Sport psychology is the study of people and their behaviors in sport and exercise activities; and the practical application of that knowledge. The main objectives are to understand the effects of psychological factors on physical performance and to understand the effects of participating in physical activity on psychological health, development, and well-being.

Who can benefit from sport psychology? It is believed that only athletes can benefit from sport psychology. In fact, coaches, parents, athletic trainers/therapists, and teachers may also benefit.

This course explores the teachings of renowned sport psychologist and mental skills coach Dr. Patrick Cohn.

You may also take a quiz to determine your knowledge of sport psychology and monitor your progress as you continue to learn.
